Heather Huntley Owens, DDS

Dr. Heather Owens grew up in Columbia, Tennessee. After graduating from Columbia Central High School, she attended the University of Memphis and graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1997. Dr. Owens completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, which also included rotations at Kosair Children’s Hospital, Lexington Cleft Palate Clinic, and Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
Dr. Owens is a member of the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and American Association of Women Dentists. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is an active staff member at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System. She has advanced comprehensive training in the use of laser treatment for lip and tongue ties. She is a member of the American Laser Study Club, where she continues to stay at the forefront of evidence-based care for children and families.
