James L. Hutton, DDS
Dr. James Hutton is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. After graduating from John Overton High School, he received a degree in Biology from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1985. Dr. Hutton completed his residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, which also included rotations at the University of Louisville and Kosair Children’s Hospital.
Professionally, Dr. Hutton is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Tennessee Society of Pediatric Dentists, Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and American Dental Association. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and he is a member of the sedation committee of the Tennessee Dental Association. In addition to his professional activities, he teaches children’s Sunday school at First Family Church in Columbia. He also enjoys hiking, skiing, camping, gardening, and serving as a volunteer with Boy Scout Troop 154. Dr. Hutton has been married for over 35 years to Pam. They live in Columbia with their dog Sandy. They have two married sons. Sam and his wife, Emalie, are both general dentists working in the Columbia area. Wesley, a physical therapist is married to Ashlynn, an attorney and they live in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Hutton has one grand dog named Winston.
